Aims and objectives
Our primary desire is to improve results for vulnerable young people who are transitioning to early adulthood. We ensure that our values below represent our service delivery.

Promoting Independence
Via our Impact Star and Visual Support Programs, we are empowering our tenants to see and achieve their maximum potential for a successful early adult transition.
Safeguarding Futures & attributes
At GHE Housing, we are committed to safeguarding the interests of all our residents to better their health and well-being.
Believing in You – believing in one-self
We praise and celebrate all the accomplishment our young residents have set out to succeed and
conquer, no matter how little. We promote their development in self-confidence and self-reliance by setting practical targets to be accomplished.
24-hour staffing support service.
The semi-independent house is staffed 24 hours a day. The level of support provided will be increased or
decreased as required and in consultation with the placing authority to meet individual needs, especially
for young people and residents who may require additional 1:1 support

Young People
We also specialise in supporting young people aged between 16 and 24 by encouraging them to focus on their strengths and build positive support networks to achieve their aspirations, whether that is returning to education, finding meaningful work or making new friendships.
Our services specialise in supporting young people facing homelessness, including those who are:

Care leavers or children in care (over 16)
Overcoming addiction
Young parents
Experiencing family or relationship breakdown

Our services for young people include supported housing services, which provide a safe place for young people to live, learn and make the transition to independent adulthood.

As above, we also offer move-on services to help residents find and maintain their own independent accommodation,

All support is tailored to each person’s individual needs, through a structured support plan, which uses the Impact Star model, to encourage each person to take control of their lives and work towards achieving their personal goals.
Support is focused on eight areas:

Accommodation
Work and learning
People and support
Health
How you feel
Choices and behaviour
Budgeting, money and rent
Practical life skills
